The D&B duo Body & Soul have been dedicated to the dance floor-smashing beats their audience loves them for since their introduction into the scene many years ago. For Body & Soul though the ability to keep crossing musical (and mental) borders, experimenting with different musical genres and throwing in new sounds to create something just a little different from your usual drum and bass anthem is essential. The outfit has become known for their versatile and unprecedented sounds that wow ravers all over the globe and attract new audiences everywhere they go.


After starting off their career at the infamous Bad Company Presents label, the duo branched out into different side projects and various musical fields in order to further refine their production prowess. Rob and Mike finally teamed up again in 2008 and launched their own imprint – Nasca Records – focusing solely on drum and bass again. The immediate results of their reunion were a number of high profile productions and remixes on Breakbeat Kaos, Viper and the legendary Virus Recordings.



Body & Soul recently released ‘The Reward’, a collaboration with acclaimed production partnership Camo & Krooked. Being the opening 12” on the highly anticipated Viper Recordings LP ‘Acts Of Mad Men’, ‘The Reward’ held top positions in all relevant sales and download charts for several consecutive weeks. Quite an achievement. This huge success was then followed by another massive 12“ on the infamous Virus Recordings label with austria..s hottest upcoming producer collective Fourward that proved these guys weren’t just another flash in the pan but were in fact a production force to be reckoned with. A plethora of spanking new tracks followed including ‘Spider and ‘Pure’ on their own Nasca imprint and now a slew of new music is lined up for 2010 that’s sure to delight fans the world over.



Being a major part of the Austrian scene the guys have now started to enjoy a successful DJing career already having travelled the globe taking their brash, ball-breaking sound with them that’s guaranteed to hurt any party. Highlight gigs for the guys so far have included the sets at the Miami Winter Music Conference and at what is fast becoming one of Europe’s most highly regarded events, the Urban Art Forms festival. Rising above the mountains and funny accents is Markus Wagner aka Krooked. At a mere 18 years old he is currently hailed as the new wonderkind of Austrian drum and bass, that has previously spawned the incredible talents D-Kay and Body&Soul, and given drum and bass one of its stellar events with the Urban Art Forms Festival. 

After catching the drum and bass vibe in 2004, his love for the music quickly led him to production, which at that point was nothing more than a hobby. Hard to believe that as his skills rapidly evolved over such a short period that DJ’s like Subsonik, Crissy Criss and Future Prophecies began playing and supporting his music. 

Another key factor in Krooked’s early success lies in meeting fellow Austrian producer/DJ Camo, whom he met in 2007. It took them only a short while to gel, and their first offering ‘Play It’ was soon released on the German imprint Basswerk Records. Despite this prolific collaboration, Krooked has been a busy boy also working alongside Future Prophecies, Donnie Dubson and Rob STP, creating utter dancefloor destruction along the way.

Hailing straight from lower Austria the four men collective FOURWARD started out producing music in early 2007. The boys knew each other for quite a while and shared the love and passion for drumandbass music .It was kinda like a fun thing when they played around with making some tunes at the beginning . But soon their production skills improved very quickly and people around them started to take notice of their musical output and it turned into something more serious. For them it was always a main issue not to stick to any particular tiny subgenre only, but to  develop a sound of their own. All members have different musical backgrounds which fit together perfectly and provide a great studio vibe.

Days went by and the boys finished a couple of tunes properly and it wasn’t long until Austrian drumandbass producer duo Body&Soul showed interest in their works. Also international artists like BBC´s very own Crissy Criss began to support their music giving them airplay on his radio show. As a result of their effort FOURWARD have now signed some tunes to labels of the likes of Subsonik Sound, Planet Funk or Fokuz which are perceived very well so far.

Fourward expect the year 2009 to be a big one – being hired for the notorious Urban Art Forms family and continuing to eagerly develop their musical craft its inevitable that the boys will find their way into the international drumandbass circuit.

They didn’t start the riot? Maybe they did. Bringing some really needed fresh air to Vienna’s club scene DJ/producer/promoter crew Pola-Riot, consisting of Christoph Prenner and Klaus Hofer/Straker, has established one of the most unique club nights in town hosting up-and-coming hotshot producers like Crookers, The Bloody Beetroots, Fake Blood, Yuksek, Foamo, A1 Bassline, Mustard Pimp, Boy 8-Bit or Felix Cartal.  Pola-Riot themselves are known for their explosive DJ sets, blending between electro, distortion disco and fidget house, destined to make crowds freak out big time, e. g. the ones at Austria’s biggest open air festival Frequency (alongside MSTRKRFT and Boys Noize) or at the Levi’s Unbuttoned Tour (alongside Busy P and AutoKratz). Their own productions contain remixes for fellow countrymen like Bunny Lake (of their Amadeus Award nominated song “Into The Future”) and Beta Bow (of “Second Streets Have No Name”, being later re-remixed by The Bloody Beetroots for their first album) as well as a bootleg of Stardust’s French house evergreen “Music Sounds Better With You” that reached top position on the HypeM charts.  Their latest track “Superpimpin”, smartly mixing the “Superman” theme with some prime-time fidget madness, got consecutive airplay on Kissy Sell Out’s Radio 1, which earned them a signing on Tommie Sunshine’s new label Brooklyn Fire. Jack Fox from Ireland’s national broadcaster RTÉ even selected the track as the “#1 Tune Of 2009”. With their uplifting attitude, the brothers Peter & Paul played themselves into a class on its own - in the short timespan of a few months. Their tunes, known for their self-willed arrangements, produce proper pressure on the dancefloor, and without any fear of genre limitations, Christl Stuermer, the Austrian Pop Princess, is turned through the remix shredder as well as the President of the United States, Jan Delay or classics of the rave age (“Das Boot”). 

Always on the lookout for new styles to merge with dnb and to experiment with and always with new dubs in the bag to rock the audience, the Snitchbros are known for giving 200% on stage, leading to an audience getting absolutely smashed by their epic intros and massive melodies. All of their sets are very unique, no one resembles the other and no appearance ever is routine. 

Their anthem-laden gigs polarize for sure, but having played in full venues and having given support for some of the world's leading Drum'n'Bass DJs, it's a fact that their style works big time - 20 years of combined stage experience and a bunch of fresh dubs get blasted against the audience!

Die Plattenspieler TM, das sind Robert Trömer und Ferdinand Mangelberger. Gemeinsam blicken sie auf eine langjährige DJ-Laufbahn zurück, die sie in sehr unterschiedlichen Genres begonnen haben. Im Jahre 1999 gründete DJ Tempest (Ferdinand Mangelberger) gemeinsam mit Rob.STP (Body & Soul, BC Recordings, Urban Art Forms) das Label "Reload" und machte damit St. Pölten zu einer der Drum and Bass-Hochburgen Österreichs. DJ Chimera (Robert Trömer) ist Mitbegründer des Kulturvereins Clubhaus und begann 2003 NuJazz, Downbeat und Latin aufzulegen. Unabhängig voneinander entwickelten sie sich immer mehr in Richtung elektronischer Tanzmusik.

2006 beschlossen sie, sich zu einem Duo zu konsolidieren. Von Oktober 2006 bis Mai 2007 waren sie Residents im St. Pöltner Klub Vorsicht und konnten ein stetig wachsendes Publikum mit ihren Electro, House und (Minimal)Techno-Sets begeistern. Seit dem Frühjahr 2007 sind sie Mitglied von Urban Art Forms.

Masallah begann 2007 mit seinem Schaffen an die Öffentlichkeit zu treten und sein Start  war herausragend (erster Auftritt: Pling Plong Club @ Badeschiff Wien / Klein Records).  Von Beginn an auf FM4 als „Newcomer-Empfehlung" angepriesen, schaffte er es nach nur 4 Monaten im Rahmen eines von FM4 ausgeschriebenen Workshops mit Größen wie Jamie Lidell, Mocky und Gonzales auf einer Bühne zu stehen und vor hunderten Leuten zu performen. Sei es mit seinen DJ Sets, Live Performances oder Produktionen, auf der Bühne - auch immer offen für unkonventionelle Methoden wie z.b. circuit banding (ein Spielzeuglichtschwert fungiert als Synthesizer) - schafft er es immer wieder, sein Publikum zu begeistern. Nicht nur sein Publikum, auch die Jury vom Temp Festival und Fm4 überzeugte er mit seiner Bühnenpräsenz und gewann im August 2007 den Contest „Electronic Live Act für das Temp Festival".

Seit September 2007 schlägt er sich als Mitglied der „Urban Art Forms" Crew  bis an die Zehen bewaffnet  durch den Techno Jungel Österreichs (der Jungel im Regenwaldlichen Sinne). Mit dabei ist immer der magisch - mysteriöse Koffer, der den Mittelpunkt seines Lebens darstellt. Ob Auflegen, Producen, Remixen oder Live Knartzen, alles kommt aus diesen einem Koffer, dem „Gig Bag".
